Murray Legge's Nature Chapel

The apparent simplicity and the connection to nature  of this open air chapel help to remind me of why I fell in love with architecture in the first place.  Murray Legge's non-denominational chapel is a beautiful structure whose basic tectonic quality draws one into the experience of the chapel while simultaneously directing attention to the surrounding forest, the sky, and the earth it rests upon.  As he developed the idea for the chapel Legge reportedly had the quote by Frank Lloyd Wright in mind stating, "I believe in God, but I spell it N-A-T-U-R-E."   To me this is a  perfect summation of the emotions evoked by this wonderful site.
